Exceptional Needs Dental Services (E.N.D.S.) started in 1995. E.N.D.S. developed a model allowing them to deliver dental care to people living in long-term care facilities, group homes, and foster homes. The organizations included in E.N.D.S. are; Capitol Dental Care, Managed Dental Care of Oregon, CareOregon Dental and Willamette Dental. These organizations make it possible for Denturist Tanya Poleon to provide these denture services to her patients who need mobile care.
The patients who benefit from Exceptional Needs Dental Services are commonly senior citizens and people with disabilities. These people are typically those that are unable to be treated in an office setting. These patients may suffer from one or a combination of the following medical conditions;
- Schizophrenia
- Cerebral palsy
- Heart problems
- Mental retardation
- Alzheimer’s
- Dementia
- Anxiety
- Quadriplegia
- Cervical spine injury
- Anemia
- Hypertension
Exceptional Needs Dental Services has been helping people for more than 17 years. Their current network boasts 29 providers including dentists, denturists, and expanded practice dental hygienists. The program benefits 2,500 patients living in 17 different counties in Oregon.
